All these are collected on a tray by the teacher and child. A measuring
spoon is chosen and taken to a table.
EXERCISE
The child is shown how to take one measuring spoon and fill it with
flour. He is shown how to take the knife with his dominant hand and holding
the spoon of flour over the flour container, level it off with the knife
and put the measured flour in the empty container.
This work needs to be done carefully and exactly. No flour should be
spilled. Any measuring spoon can be used for practice.
Lessons can be given with measuring cups in the same manner.
