Materials

• Rectangles of paper
• Scissors
• Glue or paper punch
• Paper clips

Presentation

Show children how to:

1. Fold paper in half, forming a narrow rectangle and cut from the fold to within 1" of the edge, using curved or diagonal cuts.

2. Open rectangle and attach ends with glue and then glue on handles or else punch a hole on opposite sides of the lantern and the handle and attach with paper clips.
